ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਕਰਨਗੇ 2028 ICC ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਟੀ-20 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ ਦੀ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ
2028 ਦਾ ICC ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਟੀ-20 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ21 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਤੋਂ 19 ਨਵੰਬਰ 2028 ਤੱਕ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਦੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਹੇਠ ਖੇਡਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵਾਂ ਸੁਪਰ-10 ਪੜਾਅ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਐਲੀਮੀਨੇਟਰ ਨਾਕਆਊਟ ਰਾਊਂਡ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਦਾ ਫਾਰਮੈਟ:
• 20 ਟੀਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ 4-4 ਟੀਮਾਂ ਦੇ 5 ਗਰੁੱਪਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੰਡਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
• ਹਰ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਿਖਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਟੀਮਾਂਸੁਪਰ-10 ਪੜਾਅ ਲਈ ਕੁਆਲੀਫਾਈ ਕਰਨਗੀਆਂ।
• ਸੁਪਰ-10 ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਸੈਮੀਫਾਈਨਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚਣਗੀਆਂ।
• ਦੂਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਆਪਸੀ ਐਲੀਮੀਨੇਟਰ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਖੇਡਣਗੀਆਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਸੈਮੀਫਾਈਨਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਬਣਾਉਣਗੇ।

ਬਾਕੀ 8 ਟੀਮਾਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਚੁਣੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ?
ਬਾਕੀ ਅੱਠ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਲਈ 16 ਟੀਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਗਲੋਬਲ ਕੁਆਲੀਫਾਇਰ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਚੱਕਰ ਦੀਆਂ 8 ਟੀਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤਰੀ ਕੁਆਲੀਫਿਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਭਰ ਕੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ 8 ਟੀਮਾਂ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣਗੀਆਂ।
2028 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Announced
Big Boost for Australia and New Zealand

Australia and New Zealand will jointly host the 2028 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which will be played from 21 October to 19 November 2028.
The tournament will introduce a new Super 10 stage and, for the first time, an Eliminator knockout round.
Tournament Format
Twenty teams will be divided into five groups of four teams each.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super 10 stage.
The teams finishing first in the Super 10 stage will qualify directly for the semi-finals.
Teams finishing second and third will compete in Eliminator matches, with the winners advancing to the semi-finals.

How Will the Remaining Eight Teams Qualify?
The remaining eight places will be decided through a 16-team Global Qualifier. The competition will feature eight teams from the previous tournament cycle and eight teams that qualify through regional qualification tournaments.
